Being Kind to Yourself is Key
Taking time out of your day to do something that is just for you is so important! We can run ourselves into the ground if we forget that sometimes, it is okay just to take a moment to breathe and do something that makes you feel good. Being kind to yourself can look different for everyone. This post gives a few quick ideas of how to show yourself love and compassion for under a minute each day.
Look in the mirror and smile for a minute. It can start out as a fake smile but the goal here is to feel those muscles and the release that comes with a smile and embrace it.
Take a minute and tell yourself out loud "I love that I...." Complete this sentence with something that makes you feel good, even if it is something as simple as "I love that I can cook" or as deep as "I love that I can always find a way to laugh".
If you are finding that the day is too hard to handle and nothing is going your way, stop for 1 minute and tell yourself "It is okay to not be okay", because that is the truth, you do not have to be perfect!
